Where Our Work Began
Before 4 Pillars Learning Lab, we launched Write2Succeed to address a clear and urgent need: there were very few writing resources intentionally designed for multilingual learners and exceptional learners, students who benefit most from explicit, scaffolded writing instruction.
Write2Succeed grew out of cycles of action research, a deep review of writing instruction literature, and our combined expertise:
David’s 30 years of leadership experience, including supporting multilingual learners and overseeing writing initiatives
Amelia’s work with special education students, multilingual learners, and writing pedagogy
Our doctoral research, each centered on writing skill development, instructional design, and fundational learning
The goal was simple: create accessible, rigorous writing tools for the learners who need strong models, scaffolded tasks, and explicit instruction.
